@EricVicenti @IPFS doesn't pnpm get you halfway there? it might be easier to just add peer-syncing or bitswap-type things to pnpm, with or without the overhead of translating to IPFS for each packages (since pnpm packages are already content-addressed according to a CID-like/equivalent hash)
