@prewarpierre @magi_jay i think taking hostages to trade was the military objective of some of the attackers. some of the attackers seem to have been acting the way bank robbers or hostage takers usually do. others seem to have been psychopaths let loose from a prison. not sure that makes it genocide?Permalink On twitter.com

@prewarpierre @magi_jay "they started it" isn't a great rebuttal to "you're doing a genocide". i agree that if the more deranged and evil elements among the attackers or in hamas generally _had the requisite power_ they might well have launched a genocide. but however vile, it's apple and orangesOn twitter.com
