      @Calious @BLoobama @soulkhan i'm enough of a class-traitor to prefer second homes be taxed very painfully if empty and more painfully than a primary residence if used as a licensed/professional B&B, i.e. germany today. it incentivizes retirement/vacation homes to be used yearround to a minimum level.

    @Calious @BLoobama @soulkhan it also helps jobless small towns capture some secondary income over time when big-city assholes with tech jobs come and swoop up a vacation home at [depressed local] market rates, as opposed to one-and-done

      @Calious @BLoobama @soulkhan i don't think airbnb in its current form is valid but with a few tweaks (i.e. good licensing/tax/reporting schemes and different ToU) it's actually a good way to spread money around and create at least gigs where there are no jobs.
