      @moo9000 i think there are two nuances that get lost here: 1.) States need clear and definitive ownership (not by foreign nationals) to convert/equate crypto to "money" (within their power to control) and 2.) custodial (keys) != custodial (control) != custodial (kyc).

    @moo9000 if there are MPC wallets that allow, for example, freezing but not emptying by a semi-custodial actor which has the KYC info of the subject, that would work just fine for many nation-states. but it's not really an option in today's wallet market so it's a nuance no one gets to.
