        @MacroMate8 This may have more to do with traditional equity, labor laws, tax reporting, and other HR logistics. Taking on its first US citizen for a white collar and equity vesting position is a huge pain in the ass for a non us Co, regardless of residency

      @MacroMate8 Herein germany it would cost a fortune relative to hiring an EU citizen and more paperwork (by far) than sponsoring say an Indian or Nigerian with a tech degree willing to relocate

    @MacroMate8 I'm not sure why Americans are always shocked to learn that travel visas exist and tax codes vary widely. Our school system doesn't do much to drive home the point that nonUS governments are sovereigns and international law is complicated.
