@veles_eth @tante gold isn't stable enough for what he's talking about, it's still speculative. to be as stable as, say, the € or the $ there would need to be as much staked in Eth2 as there is in all the bank reserves of licensed banks in either currency, which is orders of magnitude away.

@veles_eth @tante you're right, tho, eth will be as stable as gold or silver was in the middle ages when gold and silver's market price, rather than central bank monetary policy, set the value of market exchange. a few months into eth2 we will be at middle-ages levels of gold-as-currency :D

@veles_eth @tante fun fact, in the middle ages, gold-based europe was volatile compared to silver-based china's trading sphere. there was like 50X as much TVL in chinese silver than european gold. we're aiming too low, fren!
