@evacide actually in northern europe they mostly incinerate the plastic, some nerd crunched the numbers and if you use superfancy ovens the particulates aren't so bad compared to landfill or ocean trash or other places plastics end up. it's too expensive for most of the world, tho.Permalink On twitter.com

@evacide i read up on it once, there's also material byproducts and energy generated by it that offsets the particulates, to boot. i believe it's required nationwide in germany and netherlands but maybe it's just state by state. i'm probably overstating the beneys but it's somethingOn twitter.com
