    @BPRileyCTSp2Eng @deirdremcglynn @DanielTorday well-played. FWIW, the semicolon is my #2 out of the 4, and much harder to defend from the fickle whims of the philistine youth of today; for many years it was my ride-or-die, but I believe the "onomatopeia" effect mentioned by OP is what tipped me over into the #emDashGang .
