@matdryhurst @relevantfeed i.e. voluntarist data, it's proven tricky to get those people to actually pay for the infrastructure of SSI, though-- they seem to want to own data outright, even when they go zeroparty to stop worrying about weak consent. would love to be proven wrong if any ad execs read this!Permalink On twitter.com

@matdryhurst @relevantfeed Honestly, I think the move to E2EE is just a way to foreclose the unwinnable debate around platform responsibility/liability vis-a-vis content moderation, nothing more or less.
