@hypervisible @histoftech Not sure if it was a real, commercially-available phone/appliance, or just a prop/stunt for a TV ad, but it had a speakerphone built in so you can call your mom at mealtime (or maybe it called her when the rice finished?). Japanese tv ads are the best!
