        @ahcastor @davidgerard to wit, blockchain is only used to publicize breadcrumbs for discovery and to have shared timestamping of records you still pay a HIPAA-bound 3rd party to centralize/host/recover/etc. SSI is the framework of making control of that access more usable.

      @ahcastor @davidgerard But these projects (some of which are quietly, shoestringedly in production btw) are hamstrung by the same insurance-favoring BS laws and regs that make compliance impossible for anyone except huge players. The problem is 99% legal/economic and 1% social, I'd say.
