      @RottenInDenmark Biking is perceived as dangerous because it is dangerous. Scootering is perceived as safe because...advertising works. I can't think of a situation in which I'd prefer a scooter over a bike, moped or moto. Pure gimmickcraft IMHO.

    @RottenInDenmark Honestly, I think perception of safety, learning curve, and efficiency/ecological impact are all deadwrong on scooters, I wish their dumb niche could be educated out of existence so we stop wasting cityplanning, manufacturing and healthcare resources

      @RottenInDenmark But the [perceived] learning curve, user friendliness, and "UX" of scooters explains how people who would never rent a bike or a motorcycle rent scooters by the millions. UX makes or breaks adoption more than marketing does, as they say in software.
